Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 19, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on The Recipe Society's websites and browser-based Services. Read it together with our Privacy Policy, which describes the personal information we process, our service providers, retention practices, and your privacy rights.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies, including local storage and IndexedDB, can retain settings, authentication state, or other information on your device. Some information lasts only for a browsing session; other information can remain until it expires or is cleared. These technologies are not limited to cookies with a particular name.
How we use these technologies
- Essential functions and security. Our browser-based Services use storage and related technologies to support sign-in, remember privacy choices, maintain functionality, and protect forms and accounts against abuse. A third-party bot-detection service may process technical signals and set its own cookies when a protected feature is used. Essential security functions are separate from optional analytics choices.
- Preferences. Browser storage can remember settings and choices so that you do not need to enter them each time. Available settings depend on the surface you use.
- Analytics. Where enabled, usage information helps us understand screen views and feature interactions and improve the Services. The app's analytics collection is subject to its privacy controls. The presence of a consent category does not mean that every page runs analytics or sets cookies in that category.
We do not use cookies, identifiers, or analytics for third-party advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell health data or use health data for advertising.
Mobile apps and third-party pages
The native mobile apps do not use browser cookies for tracking. They use app storage and privacy controls described in our Privacy Policy. Pages opened within or from the app, including sign-in, subscription-management, and retailer pages, may use their providers' cookies and similar technologies. Retailer checkout takes place under the retailer's terms and privacy practices. Changing our cookie preferences does not change a separate provider's settings.
Your choices
Where offered, use Consent Preferences on the website or the app's privacy settings to review available choices. You can also use your browser's settings to inspect, block, or delete cookies and other site data. Blocking essential storage can prevent sign-in or other features from working, and clearing site data can remove saved preferences and require you to choose again. Browser settings generally apply to that browser and device.
Cookie choices do not authorize the use of stored conversations, account information, or saved memories in AI requests. The separate AI choices and current availability of those features are described in our Privacy Policy.
For privacy requests or questions about controls that are unavailable on a particular surface, contact support@therecipesociety.com. You may also visit our Privacy Request page. Your statutory privacy rights are described in our Privacy Policy.
